According to CBSE circular numbers ad-22/2026 dated 16th April 2026 , on observation of Jal Pakhwada 2026 - The Jal Shakti of catch the rain campaign launched on 22 March 2021, aimed to promote water harvesting and water conservation programmes has been conducted by Himalaya Public Senior secondary School Rohini, Delhi
DAY -1
Activity-1
16th April 2026 - pledge taking ceremony on water conservation Abhiyaan “catch the rain”- on 16 April 2026 students of Himalaya Public school took the pledge to conserve water during assembly. This will create a sense of responsibility and awareness among the student to conserve the water.
Day 2 to 4
17th April 2026 (Friday) to 19th April 2026 (Sunday)*
*Activity 2:* _Electronic Banners for Water Conservation Awareness
- Himalaya Public se sec Schools design and upload electronic banners with water conservation messages on their official websites. To Create digital awareness among students, parents, and visitors about saving water.
DAY-5 and 6
*20th April 2026 (Monday) to 21st April 2026 (Tuesday)*
*Activity 3:* _Meeting with School management and Administration and school PTA community was conducted to create awareness and Highlight importance of water conservation, discuss school-level water audits, and plan student involvement.
DAY 7 and 8
*22nd April 2026 (Wednesday) to 23rd April 2026 (Thursday)*
*Activity 4:* _Competitions/Debates/Quiz on Water Conservation
- Himalaya public se sec school Organised quize on water conservation focused methods to conserve water to Engage students actively and build awareness through participatory learning.
Day -9 to 12
*24th April 2026 (Friday) to 26th April 2026 (Sunday)*
*Activity 5:* _Community Participation – Water Conservation Abhiyan
- community participation in Water Conservation Abhiyan within school/institution premises.
- Activities may include rallies, cleanliness drive in school and pledge ceremonies involving local residents.
DAY -13 and 14
*27th April 2026 (Monday) to 28th April 2026 (Tuesday)*
*Activity 6:* _Seminar/Lectures on Water Borne Diseases & Hygiene
- Senior teachers Conducted seminars/lectures on water borne diseases and safe handling of drinking water to Promote proper hand washing and oral hygiene practices among students to prevent water-related illnesses.
Day -15
29th April 2026 (Wednesday)*
*Activity 7:* _Bal Sansad/School Cabinet Meeting
- Asmall group meeting of Bal Sansad/School Cabinet members Reviewed all Jal Pakhwada activities conducted, discuss impact, student feedback, and plan follow-up actions for sustained water conservation in school.
*Overall Outcome:*
The 13-day program ensures awareness, stakeholder involvement, student participation, community outreach, health education, and review mechanisms for effective water conservation under Jal Pakhwada 2026.
