HPV Vaccination Sensitization Session

Date: 25 July 2026
A sensitization and counselling session on Human Papillomavirus (HPV) Vaccination was conducted on 25 July 2026 for girl students aged 14–15 years. The programme was organized in coordination with the Health Department as per the directions of the Directorate of Education (DoE).

During the session, health experts explained the causes and transmission of HPV infection, its association with cervical cancer, and the importance, benefits, effectiveness, and safety of the HPV vaccine. They emphasized that timely vaccination is an effective preventive measure for protecting adolescent girls against HPV-related diseases.

The session was highly interactive, providing students with an opportunity to ask questions and clarify their doubts regarding the vaccine, its schedule, possible side effects, and its role in maintaining long-term health. The experts addressed all queries patiently and reassured the students and teachers about the safety and efficacy of the vaccination programme.

The programme successfully created awareness among the students, encouraged informed decision-making, and promoted the importance of preventive healthcare and early protection against cervical cancer.
