An awareness workshop on the harmful effects of tobacco was organized in the school under the **Anti-Tobacco Committee**, in collaboration with the **District Tobacco Control Program (NTCP)**.
The session was conducted by a team of esteemed health professionals including **Dr. Vinod Kumar (District Surveillance Officer)**, **Dr. Ramesh Bhola (District Program Officer, NTCP)**, **Ms. Radha Pathak (Coordinator, NTCP Program)**, and **Ms. Geeta (ANM)**.
The workshop aimed to educate students about the dangers of tobacco consumption, including smoking cigarettes and the use of e-cigarettes. The speakers highlighted that both cigarettes and e-cigarettes are harmful, addictive, and illegal for minors. They explained in detail how tobacco affects the human body, leading to serious health issues such as lung diseases, cancer, heart problems, and reduced immunity.
The resource persons also emphasized the social and environmental impact of tobacco use and encouraged students to adopt a healthy, tobacco-free lifestyle. Interactive discussions and real-life examples made the session engaging and informative.
The program concluded with a strong message urging students to stay away from tobacco products and to spread awareness among peers and family members.
