Gandhi Smriti and Gandhi Darshan

On 22nd April, Ms. Pooja Rana and Ms. Monika Singhal from our school attended a thought-provoking and inspiring workshop organized at Gandhi Smriti and Gandhi Darshan, Satyagrah Mandap, New Delhi. The theme of the workshop was "Taking Gandhiji's Values to Schools", with an emphasis on incorporating his teachings into everyday school practices.

The workshop brought together educators and coordinators from various institutions. Eminent speakers, including the Vice President and Coordinator of the Gandhi Darshan Samiti, addressed the gathering. Through their motivating words, they highlighted the importance of keeping the Gandhi Clubs active and vibrant in schools. They stressed on how Gandhiji's principles of truth, non-violence, simplicity, self-reliance, and cleanliness remain relevant even today and must be passed on to the younger generation.

Participants were encouraged to initiate regular activities under Gandhi Clubs such as spinning (charkha) demonstrations, cleanliness drives, value-based storytelling sessions, and discussions on Gandhian philosophy. The speakers also urged schools to maintain a strong association with the Gandhi Darshan and Smriti Samiti in order to receive continued guidance and support.

The workshop served as a platform to exchange ideas, share best practices, and rejuvenate the spirit of Gandhian thought in educational spaces. It was a truly enriching experience for the participants and will surely help in fostering a value-driven culture among students.
