"Sawachhta Pakhwada" is a cleanliness campaign initiated by the government to promote cleanliness and hygiene.
Himalaya Public school celebrated Cleanliness drive on 6 July,2024 Mr. Abhishek Sharma ( Senior Manager) Indian oil Corporation Ltd , our Guest of honour who sensitized students regarding cleanliness .Various activities like slogan writing , painting / drawing , poster making ,essay writing were conducted for the commitment to this noble cause. The slogan writing competition saw a plethora of creative and impactful slogans emphasizing the importance of cleanliness. The poster-making activity provided a platform for students to visually express their ideas about clean environment. They also participated in an essay writing competition, where they articulated their thoughts on its significance. A pledge ceremony was held, where students and staff collectively vowed to make our surroundings clean which was followed by Tree plantation. This activity not only contributed to the environment but also underscored the importance of a clean and green environment. Students participated enthusiastically and showcased their talent. Our Principal Aruna Shivraj appreciated and encouraged students about following a healthy lifestyle with growth, and a sustainable future. The activities successfully educated and motivated the school community to maintain cleanliness. The participation and enthusiasm of the students in these activities were commendable. Their efforts in spreading awareness and taking steps towards cleanliness were truly inspiring.

" The term "Swachhta" translates to "cleanliness" in Hindi, and "Pakhwada" means "fortnight." This initiative is part of the larger Swachh Bharat Abhiyan (Clean India Mission), which aims to make India cleaner and healthier.

During Swachhta Pakhwada, various ministries, organizations, and institutions across the country participate in activities such as cleaning public places, spreading awareness about hygiene practices, organizing cleanliness drives, and encouraging community
