Mock Drill

An Evacuation Mock Drill was exercised in order to create awareness and enable everyone to be prepared to face any kind of disaster. After the sound of the hooter, the teaching as well as non- teaching staff was on their toes and did their best and evacuated the whole building in almost 4 minutes. The volunteers of the Disaster Management Committee (which includes teaching and non- teaching staff and a few students) assisted the students as well as other people, which were near about 1800 in total, to move towards the open space which is safer in such situations. The children with Special Needs were also taken care of. After the Drill, HOS Madam Aruna Sivaraj also spoke to the students and appreciated the efforts of everyone and instructed to be alert in all circumstances and co- co-operate with each other if any such situation arises. However, drawbacks were also noted down so that these can be taken care of in future.
