Industrial Visit To Yakult

Himalaya Public Senior Secondary School, oragined an Industrial visit to Yakult Danone India at Sonepat for class XI students. It is the only factory in India where Yakult is manufactured and then is distributed to various parts of India. Wewere warmly welcomed by the staff,who takes care of public relations for Yakult. We were briefed about the company, genesis of Yakult, importance of probiotic drinks, production process, marketing and distribution of the product via a power point presentation in the presentation room. A small movie was also screened. It was a case study of a small child who, because of Yakult consumption, recovered from his illness.Thereafter we were guided through the entire production process. Students were shown how Yakult is made and packaged. The production is highly mechanisedand uses assembly line production.

The Entire tour through the factory was extremely interactive, wherein students asked questions and resource person attended the same. In the end, we were given Yakult and cookies as refreshment. All in all, it was an informative and refreshing experience.
