Recently, a group of students showcased their talent at Ramleela ground, sector -7, Rohini on Dussehra festivities. In association with the NGO “ SABKA AASRA” has engaged the school into fruitful ventures and the event did provide a great opportunity to children to perform, excel and master the art of being a stage performer. The students captivated the audience with their spell bound performance.

On the eve of 72nd Independence day, HPS unfurled the Indian tri-colour with much gaiety and fanfare. A colourful cultural programme had been presented by students of different wings. The cynosure of the programme was a skit which highlighted the concerns of the contemporary times about maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in public life. Speaking on the occasion, the Chairman of the school Shri K.C.Gupta highlighted the need to understand the real significance of independence after 72 years. He reiterated the fact that parents have got to be more sensitive and Keen towards the future generation to keep them guided and focused.

The 69th Republic day was celebrated with much gaiety and fervor at HPS.
The programme was initiated by flag hoisting follwed by melodiou singing of Vande Matram. On the occasion , some students presented their speech to enlighten about the importance and significance of being a Republic, highlighting its secular feature.The senior wing students displayed their acting skills by presenting a street play (Nukkad Natak) and highlighted the need  of making India a "Tobacco Free Nation".
                                   The programme concluded with the mesmerizing and enthralling speech delivered by the Director of the school, Captain V.K.Verma. The Vice -Principal Ms. Aruna Sivraj proposed a vote of thanks highlighting the objectives of the Republic Day.

Himalaya Public Sr. Sec. School , Rohini organized a grand  sports meet  and the annual prize distribution  ceremony on 16thDecember 2017 in its premises .The sports meet was an extravaganza  of various sports events and mesmerizing colourful  drills of students from classes I-VIII

The occasion was graced by the Deputy Director of Education , North  West Region  MS. Shashi Bala Saini who was the chief guest for the occasion.

Mr. Rajpal Sehrawat, the Deputy Director , Zone XIII was the guest of honour who presided over the function along with Ms. Pushpa Gupta, Chairperson of Tandon Educational Society.


The programme was commenced by giving a floral welcome to the guests by the chairman of Himalaya Public Sr. Sec. School Shri K.C.Gupta followed by his address to the parents, Sarswati Vandana and lightning of  the Mashal .


The Head Boy and the Head Girl of the school took the oath after  which the meet  was declared  open by the chief guest.


Many track events were organized  for classes I – VIII like  conquering obstacles , relay race, circuit training and the tug of war. The highlight of the event  being “ The Sports Statue”.


All the position  holders from classes LKG to XII in academics and zonal activities along with the winners of the track events were felicitated by the guests with the mementoes.


The chief guest and the Guest of Honour delivered their golden message in the form of guidance to the parents to give quality time to their wards and the students to devote their time for the extra-curricular activities along with their studies.


The Annual School Report was presented by the Vice Principal of Himalaya Public SR. ec. School, Ms. Aruna Sivaraj. The Director of the school, Capt. V.K.Verma also addressed the gathering with his words of wisdom.


The programme ended with the grand finale followed by the vote of thanks and the  National Anthem.


Overall the sports Meet was a grand success and was well praised by everyone  who witnessed the show. A message of  possessing healthy mind with a healthy body was imparted to the students by the sports  teachers. The values of team spirit, co-operation and togetherness were also conveyed through the programme.
